Who We Are
Xplore Local Ltd gather and process your personal information in accordance with this privacy notice and in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation and laws. This notice provides you with the necessary information regarding your rights and our obligations, and explains how, why and when we process your personal data.
Xplore Local Ltd’s registered office is at Newark Works, 2 Foundry Way, South Quays, Bath BA2 3DZ and we are a company registered in England and Wales under company number 7503285. We are registered on the Information Commissioner's Office Register; registration number ZA321178 and act as the data controller when processing your data. Information That We Collect
Xplore Local Ltd processes your personal information to meet our legal, statutory and contractual obligations and to provide you with our products and services. We will never collect any unnecessary personal data from you and do not process your information in any way, other than as specified in this notice.
Information that you give us:
This is information about you that you give us by filling in forms on our site or our app or by corresponding with us by phone, email or otherwise. It includes information you provide when you register to use our app, subscribe to our service and when you report a problem with our site or with our app. The information you give us may include your name, address, email address and phone number. Xplore also collects personal data relating to merchants (when they sign up to Xplore) and from partners of Xplore. Such information is collected for the purposes of carrying out anti-money laundering and know-your-customer checks and to store the contact details of the merchant against the merchant’s account. Examples of this personal data include name, home address, date of birth, photographic identification documents (such as a copy of a company director’s passport), pay out bank account information (such as account name, account number and sort code.)
Information that we collect about you:
Regarding each of your visits to our site or our app we will automatically collect the following information:
- technical information, including the internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the internet, your login information, browser type and version, operating system and platform.
- information about your visit, including the amount and payee of any transaction, location data, download errors and any phone number used to call our customer service number.
Information we receive from other sources:
This is information we receive about you if you use any of the other websites we operate or the other services we provide. This may also include any information already in the public domain e.g. Experian. We also receive information about you from our payment processor Yapily.

Xplore Local Ltd will never sell your data. We only retain your data for as long as is necessary and for the purpose(s) specified in this notice.

- As part of our contractual agreement with you to provide you with our services and to improve, promote and protect our services and to keep your account secure. To set up and administer your account, contact you and customise your experience on Xplore.
- To fulfil any legal or statutory obligations
- To enable us to occasionally send you marketing information where we have assessed that it is beneficial to you as a customer and in our interests. Such information will be non-intrusive and is processed on the grounds of legitimate interests. You may opt out of this marketing at any time.

You have the right to access any personal information that Xplore Local Ltd processes about you and to request information about: -

Xplore Local Ltd takes your privacy seriously and takes every reasonable measure and precaution to protect and secure your personal data. We work hard to protect you and your information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction and have several layers of security measures in place, including: -

Transfers Outside the UK and EU
Xplore Local Ltd may utilise some products or services (or parts of them) that may be hosted/stored in the USA or Canada which means that we may transfer any information which is submitted by you through the website outside the UK and European Economic Area ("EEA") for the below purposes: -

Consequences of Not Providing Your Data
You are not obligated to provide your personal information to Xplore Local Ltd however, as this information is required for us to provide you with our services, we will not be able to offer all our services without it.
How Long We Keep Your Data
Xplore Local Ltd only ever retains personal information for as long as is necessary and we have strict review and retention policies in place to meet these obligations.

Owing to the services that we offer, Xplore Local Ltd sometimes needs to process sensitive personal information (known as special category data) about you, to perform identity checks and to satisfy anti- money laundering regulations. Where we collect such information, we will only request and process the minimum necessary for the specified purpose and identify a compliant legal basis for doing so.
